First step
MENACE 12Kills you before you have gone anywhere. The floor of the room you just walked into.
Deadweight • a trap climber for iPhone & iPad
The traps here are not on a timer. The ledge holds until your weight is on it. The gust arrives after you have committed to the jump. Thirty hand-authored chapters of a mountain that would rather you did not reach the top.
Chapters 1 and 2 are free and complete. No ads, no subscription, no account.
Seven seconds each
Three cuts from one unbroken run at Chapter 3. Nothing inside a clip is edited — the saws really are that close together, and the third one is how a run usually ends.
Three gestures, no buttons
There is no d-pad and no jump button. You charge, you aim, you commit — and then the arc belongs to physics and the wind, not to you.
Press and hold anywhere to charge the jump. Hold longer, go further — and stand still longer while the trap watches you do it.
Drag to set the angle. The whole arc is decided before you leave the ground, which is exactly why a mistake is yours.
Release and commit. In a storm the wind takes you mid-air, and the jump you have made a hundred times is a different jump.
Twelve kinds of trap
The game carries a menace score for every trap and arms them in that order — gentlest first on Steady, worst first on everything else. This is that list, unedited. Hover one.
Kills you before you have gone anywhere. The floor of the room you just walked into.
Above the jump you were always going to make.
Crosses the space between two ledges, on its own schedule.
Runs the length of the ground you need to stand on.
Comes down the column you are climbing, not the one beside it.
Takes you mid-air, after the arc has left your hands.
The ground moves under you on the way out of the room.
Holds long enough for you to believe it, then gives.
Floor nails, with a safe patch you have to spot before you land.
On the surface you were about to brush past.
The ledge rotates once you are standing on it.
A ledge that was never there. You find out in the air.
The route
Nothing is procedurally generated. Every ledge and every trap was placed by hand, in order, from the foothills to the false floor.
Four ways to suffer
Difficulty does not scale a health bar, because there is no health bar. It changes how many traps are armed and how long a trap waits before it bites.
Arms fewer traps than the room was written with, and picks the forgiving ones first.
Full delayThe room exactly as authored. Every trap the designer put there, armed.
Delay × 0.8Same traps, half the warning. The beat you were relying on is gone.
Delay × 0.5Everything armed, storm on every screen, a quarter-second to react. This is the default.
Delay × 0.25What it looks like
One colour means danger and nothing else does. You can always see what is about to kill you — right up until the moment the game decides you cannot.
What it does not do
Chapters 1 and 2 are free, complete and untimed. A single purchase opens chapters 3 through 30 and keeps them, on every device signed in to the same Apple Account.
Before you ask
Harder, on the setting it ships with. Deadweight opens on Extreme — every trap armed, storm on every screen, a quarter of a second to react. There are four difficulties and you can change them at any time from Settings, and your records are kept either way. Steady arms fewer traps and starts you on the forgiving ones.
Chapters 1 and 2 are free and complete — not a demo, not timed. One purchase opens chapters 3 through 30 permanently. It is not a subscription, there is no free trial that converts, and there is nothing to cancel.
No. All thirty chapters are hand-authored — every ledge and every trap placed on purpose, in a fixed order. The only seeded content is the Daily, which picks one chapter and one seed from the date so everyone climbing today climbs the same mountain.
Only once, to make the purchase. After that it plays entirely offline. There is no account, no sign-in and no server to be down.
Yes. It is a universal build and runs on iPhone and iPad, landscape, both ways up.
Open Settings, or select any chapter past 2, and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple Account that bought it. If it still will not restore, email the receipt and it will be sorted out.
Every chapter keeps your best time, your fewest deaths and up to three stars for beating par on both, so there is a lot of room between finishing a chapter and finishing it well. There is also a new Daily climb every day, and a ghost of your best run you can race.
Two chapters free. Twelve kinds of trap. One mountain that has been waiting all day for you to trust it.

Privacy policy
Effective date: 5 September 2026. This policy explains how Abdul Manan (Codestreaks) — “we”, “us”, “our” — handles your information when you use Deadweight – Trap Climber. By downloading or using the app, you agree to it.
Deadweight is a single-player climbing game. You climb hand-authored chapters while avoiding traps, and the app keeps your progress, best times and death counts. It is played entirely on your device, needs no internet connection to play, and has no multiplayer, no chat and no user-generated content.
Account information: none. Deadweight has no accounts, no registration and no sign-in. We do not ask for, receive or store your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, photos, contacts, location or health data, and the app has no technical means of reading them.
Game progress — unlocked chapters, best times, fewest-death records, stars, difficulty, sound, haptics, ghost and reminder settings — is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded, we cannot see it, and deleting the app erases it permanently.
Purchase information. Deadweight offers a single one-time purchase that unlocks chapters 3 to 30. Billing is handled entirely by the Apple App Store.
Analytics and diagnostics: none. There is no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no advertising SDK in the app. We collect no device identifiers, usage events, crash logs or diagnostics. The app shows no ads, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not track you. Automatic device-identifier collection is explicitly disabled in the purchase integration.
Only to unlock the chapters you paid for, restore that purchase on your other devices, send reminders if you enable them, and answer support requests. We never sell or rent your personal data, build advertising profiles, or share anything with advertisers.
That is the complete list. Deadweight uses no Firebase, no Google Analytics, no advertising network, no attribution provider and no artificial-intelligence service.
If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. There is no push server and no push token: nothing is transmitted, and no notification data ever leaves your device. Turn them off any time in the app under Settings, or in iOS Settings.
Your progress is stored on your device, protected by iOS’s app sandbox and device encryption. Purchase data travels over HTTPS (TLS) only and is held by RevenueCat and Apple under their own terms. We run no servers and no database, so there is no account of yours for us to lose. No system is completely secure, and while we implement strong protections we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Chapters 1 and 2 are free and complete. Chapters 3 to 30 are unlocked by a single one-time purchase. This is not a subscription — no recurring charge, no converting free trial, nothing to cancel. Once bought, the unlock is permanent and available on any device signed in to the same Apple Account through Restore Purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Deleting the app permanently erases all your progress, records and settings. There is no account to close, because none was created. To have the anonymous purchase record for your device deleted, email Workplace0331@gmail.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. We process such requests within 30 days.
Deadweight is rated for general audiences and is safe for children to play. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and contains nothing that asks a player to type or reveal anything about themselves. There is no chat, no social feature, no advertising and no web browsing inside the app.
Depending on where you live — including the EEA, UK and California — you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data. Because we hold no accounts and no personal information on any server, there is usually nothing for us to export or erase: your data is already on your device. For the anonymous purchase record, email Workplace0331@gmail.com. We do not sell personal information and have not done so in the past twelve months.
The limited purchase data above may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where Apple and RevenueCat operate. We rely on those providers’ safeguards.
Deadweight is an independent game made by one developer. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Apple Inc. beyond distribution through the App Store. The app does not provide medical, legal, financial or professional advice.
Deadweight is licensed, not sold, under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, which applies to every app distributed through the App Store unless the developer supplies its own. We do not.
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. For any question, concern or request about your data, email Workplace0331@gmail.com.
